INGREDIENTS

  • 400g strong white flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60g sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 80g melted butter
  • 500ml milk
  • 1 x 11g sachet of Saf-instant Baker’s dry yeast
  • A little rum (optional)

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Add the eggs one at a time while constantly mixing.

Add the yeast mixed with a little water.

Add the milk little by little, continuing to stir, then the melted butter and then the rum.

Mix with a whisk until you have a dough with an even consistency.

Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for one hour.

Mix with a whisk again.

Cook the waffles in a waffle iron for 5-8 minutes, following the appliance instructions.
